Thousands Tour Solar Homes Across America

American Solar Energy Society”s (ASES) 14th National Solar Tour, was held on October 3rd across the nation. This year”s tour saw thousands of people visit homes across America that have employed Solar Technology as part of their energy solution. With the cost of solar technologies continually decreasing, more Americans are incorporating Solar Electric as well as Solar Water Heating Solutions into their homes. The National Solar Tour is intended to provide everyone with the opportunity to see Solar Technology in action. They are able to gain first hand knowledge of the latest Solar Energy Technologies, and obtain valuable solar energy information. The more this technology is demystified, the more people will begin to consider solar as a viable energy solution. With the price of solar decreasing and solar technological advances increasing, many more people are seeing the use of solar not just as an environmentally friendly option, but also a smart economic option. Last year nearly 140,000 people toured homes in 49 states, and the numbers are expected to be even larger this year.
